Wendy’s at Gloucester opens after remodel

After being closed for 10 weeks for expansion and renovation, the Wendy’s restaurant on Route 17, just south of Gloucester Court House, reopened for business on April 3.

Prior to reopening to the public, the restaurant held a gala dinner last Thursday night for invited guests, including local businessmen and the families of many of the store’s workers, partner Ed Anderson said.

For the business community, it was a chance to show off the new look of Wendy’s, Anderson said, while for the families it was a thank-you for having their relatives who work at the local store reassigned for work hours and training at other Wendy’s restaurants while this store was closed.

To show its appreciation to the community for its patronage, Anderson and his partners presented a $300 check to the Gloucester Boys and Girls Club. Unit director Gary Rippel was on hand to enjoy dinner and to receive the check.
