Wellness Center expands facility

Riverside Wellness and Fitness Center-Middle Peninsula in Gloucester recently has undergone some improvements.

Membership manager Tia Trevallion said that one of the biggest changes has been expansion of the free weight room. The old room had 800 square feet and the center’s new free weight room has 1,800 square feet.

The extra space provides much more space for members to use the weights, and some additional weight equipment has been ordered and should arrive soon, Trevallion said.

“I really like the improvements,” member Jim DeFigio said. Member Drew Finley agreed, indicating he enjoys more space and not being crowded.

The former free weight room has been repurposed as another exercise studio, Trevallion said. This is the second exercise studio for specialty classes, and aerobics are also taught on the main gym floor.
