Dolan-Latham
Catlin Dawn Latham and Nathan Winslow Dolan Jr. were married at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021, at North Bend Plantation in Charles City. Brent Shelton officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Shannon Lee Latham of Doniphan, Missouri, and Jason William and Michelle Latham of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
The groom is the son of Nathan Winslow Dolan Sr. and Candace Ann Dolan of Gloucester.
The bride was attended by Ashley Davis as matron of honor; maid of honor Melissa Bredlau, and bridesmaids, Brittany Lutz, Ashley Hubbard, Ashley Warren, Amber Cook and Kasey VonEngel. Adalain Davis was the flower girl.
The groom’s best man was Jake Tolefson; his groomsmen were Hayden Leigh, Ross Hubbard, David Lutz, John Hogge, Hunter Rainier, Jason Latham and Josh Hasty. Liam Davis was the ring bearer.
The reception was also held at North Bend Plantation.
Following a driving trip through Florida, culminating in Key West, the couple makes their home in Gloucester.
Sweeney-Neary
Ashley Michelle Neary and Brandon William Sweeney were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point. The Rev. Mike Derflinger, pastor of Bethany Church, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Abbie Neary of Norfolk. and the deceased Michael Neary. She is the granddaughter of Joseph Neary of Virginia Beach, and the deceased Mary Allen “Suzie” Neary.
The groom is the son of Deniece and Joe Byrne of Norfolk, and Bill and Kelly Sweeney of Fort Myers, Florida. He is the grandson of the late Dawne Sawyer and Thomas Sawyer of Hayes, Va.
The bride’s maid of honor was Katie Carter, and bridesmaids Alexa Ina, Rachel Kerxton, and Mariah Lee. Flower girls were Rylie Patterson, Kaelyn Patterson and Harper Cothern.
The groom’s brother was best man, Matthew J.H. Byrne; his groomsmen were Joseph P. Byrne II, brother of the groom, John Michael Neary, brother of the bride, Juan Munoz, Slaughter Badkins and Shaefer Hitch.
Music was provided by pianist Cheryl Dudley-Denton and vocalist Carla Staley.
The reception was held at Riverwalk Restaurant in Yorktown.
The couple plans a wedding trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, this summer, and resides in Norfolk.
