Ashley Gilmartin Weast has been appointed as the new executive director of the Gloucester Revolving Loan Fund and as interim executive director of the Main Street Preservation Trust.

A Gloucester native and an expert in economic development, Weast brings a wealth of experience to the organization, having previously served as executive director of the Gloucester Main Street Association, said a press release.

Weast has a background in economic development, gained from her tenure in Hampton and Virginia Beach. “Her return to Gloucester is a homecoming that marks a significant step forward for the region’s economic growth and preservation efforts,” the release stated.

In her new role with the Gloucester Revolving Loan Fund, Weast will focus on providing financial resources to local businesses. “This fund plays a crucial role in stimulating economic development and job creation in Gloucester Village and surrounding areas,” the release stated.
