Watercolor artists invited to submit works for ‘Summer of Color’ exhibit

Arts on Main is calling on watercolor artists to submit their work for consideration for inclusion in the Virginia Watercolor Society Middle Peninsula Regional Artists’ “Summer of Color” exhibition, which will be held July 2 through Aug. 28 at the gallery on Main Street in Gloucester.

Arts on Main is hosting the exhibition in cooperation with the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews and the RAL Art Center in Kilmarnock, said a press release.

Artists do not need to be current members of the Virginia Watercolor Society, but if accepted into the show must be willing to join the society, said the release.

The subject matter for the exhibit will be Flora & Fauna, with the following exhibition description in mind: “From the tiniest flower to the largest land and sea mammals, the exhibition at Arts on Main celebrates the diversity of the natural world and its enduring influence in art.”
