On March 21, 2013, Wanda Carroll Davis, age 87, died peacefully in her home in Yreka, Cal. She was born in Alexandria, Va., to William Douglas and Sybil C. Carroll, and lived there most of her life.

Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Stephen H. Davis, previously of Hallieford, Va.

Survivors include two children, Stephanie Davis Butler and husband Stanley of Yreka, Cal., and Stephen H. Davis Jr. and wife Jill of Deltaville, Va. Grandchildren are Essie S. Hicks, Stephen Ashley Davis, Jonathan P. Davis, and Caroline S. Davis, and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James D. Carroll and wife Margaret of Alexandria, Va., and sisters-in-law, Rosemary Powers and Sandra Graham.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Mathews, Va., where a Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at noon on Monday, April 1, 2013, where members of the family will greet friends between 11 a.m. and noon. Private interment will be at Church of the Visitation Cemetery in Topping.

The deceased requested that no flowers be sent. Memorials may be made in the form of donation to the Memorial Gift Fund of the Church of Francis de Sales, 176 Lovers Lane, Mathews, Va. 23109.
