A funeral service for Walter Shorter, 81, of Richmond, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in Zion Poplars Baptist Church, Gloucester. He died Aug. 15, 2015.

Survivors include a nephew, the Rev. Elton Pryor.

Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
