Wally O. Collard, 59, of Newport News, passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at his home. He was a proud father, grandfather, and brother.

Survivors include his daughter, Diana Collard-Johnson and her husband Wade; his three grandchildren, who affectionately called him Hap, Scarlet, Mildred and Jeremiah Johnson; his sister, O’Dell C. Lucas; and brothers, Thomas, and Michael and his wife Rosemary Collard. 

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Newport News. A reception will be held one hour prior to the service.
