Walker returns to Lockwood’s Carpets

After working abroad in recent years, John Walker has rejoined his family business, Lockwood’s Carpets in Gloucester.

Walker joined the business in late February as commercial construction project manager. His parents, Jim and Debbie Lockwood of Gloucester, own the business.

Walker said he is excited to have this opportunity to return to this area. He is especially glad he can now regularly see his parents and his brother, Lee, who lives in Newport News and is an outside project manager for Lockwood’s.

Lockwood’s is a full-service carpet and floor-covering business. Walker said Lockwood’s does a lot of commercial work for big businesses like Food Lion supermarkets and other large clients, and residential work for flooring, mini-blinds and other interior treatments.
