Dallas Walker of Hayes, fishing with eels, caught a 57-pound 5-ounce cobia on June 17 in the York River Channel. This catch qualified as a citation in the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament. A citation was also awarded to William Picardat of Hayes, for the catch and release of a 49-inch red drum on June 15 in Mobjack Bay.
