On Saturday, residents of the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck will gather in Gloucester Court House to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s—the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Activities will take place in and around Split Enz Salon, 6596 Main Street. The walk site opens at 8:30 a.m., with the Promise Garden ceremony at 9 and 9:30. The walk route will be open between 8:30 and 11 a.m. The route length is two miles.

The Middle Peninsula/Northern Neck Walk will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, masks (where required), contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations and more. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, state and local guidelines will be adhered to ensure walk events are safe for attendees. Options will be offered to participate online and in local neighborhoods.
