Volunteers sought for Clean Gloucester Day on Oct. 1

Volunteers are being sought for the Gloucester Clean Community Committee’s fall Clean Gloucester Day, which will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 1. During the spring Clean Gloucester Day, Clean Community had 550 people participate.

Volunteers under the age of 18 must have adult supervision. Clean Community suggests younger volunteers focus on parks and schools. Volunteering groups can either select a location to clean or be assigned one.

There will be a collection center set up next to the Main Street Library for trash drop-off. There will be five convenience centers located throughout the county as well. Participants can pick up bags and grabbers at the Main Street Library drop-off site or at the Stewart Building the week before the event.
