VLM to hold Native Plant Sale this month

The Virginia Living Museum is celebrating 33 years of its Native Plant Sale, offering 134 beautiful and unusual native perennials, vines, shrubs and trees for sale.

The annual fall sale will take place onsite in the Virginia Living Museum Conservation Garden and online at thevlm.org this month.

All plants are propagated at the Virginia Living Museum and many are not available in the commercial nursery trade. Plants available include options for many garden sites and styles, from wet ponds to dry rock gardens, and for attracting a variety of native wildlife.

The museum’s conservation garden will host the onsite sale open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on two consecutive weekends—Sept. 19-20, and Sept. 26-27. A preview sale for VLM members will be held on Thursday, Sept. 17.

Online sales at thevlm.org will be held Sept. 21-24. Pickup for all online orders will take place on Sept. 26 and 27 between 1 and 5 p.m.
