The Virginia Living Museum in Newport News will hold its Oyster Roast To-Go fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 14. The fundraiser features Oyster Roast classics: soup, chowder, dessert, commemorative event glasses and, of course, oysters.

Participants are asked to order by Nov. 11 in order to pick it up on Nov. 14. Customers will choose from a 4-5 p.m. or 5-6 p.m. drive-thru pick up time at the museum’s main parking lot.

The duo package, which feeds two hungry people or more, includes a pint of raw oysters, a bag of 12-15 fresh local Virginia oysters in the shell (bring a portable cooler to keep oysters fresh), half-pints of crab and corn chowder, tomato soup and pimento cheese from Waypoint Seafood and Grill, two bundtinis from Nothing Bunt Cakes, an oyster shucking knife, two commemorative event pint glasses and two VLM admission tickets (no expiration date).

Tickets are $80 by Nov. 3 and $90 until Nov. 11. Tickets can be purchased online at https://thevlm.org/oyster-roast.
