The Gloucester County School Board reviewed three significant budget changes for fiscal year 2027 with superintendent of schools Dr. Anthony Vladu during Tuesday night’s regular monthly meeting in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium. Gloucester County Public Schools’ contribution to the Middle Peninsula Regional Special Education Program is actually $187,369, not the $76,965 that was presented at last month’s meeting. That was due to a clerical error, the board was told. The school system was already expecting a utilities increase of $295,886 for FY27. That number is now projected to rise to $595,886 due to potential Dominion Energy increases. Vladu also provided the school board with a 2 percent compensation increase and a 3 percent compensation increase for employees.
