The Fairfield Foundation is sponsoring a Virtual History Marathon during October, with funds raised used for development of outdoor educational programs at Fairfield Archaeology Park in 2021.

Participants can run, walk, hike, swim or be active in another way and log their activity. They will virtually “race” through Gloucester and “visit” 11 historic sites while completing 26.2 miles over the course of 31 days, a notice said.Participants will set their own schedules, pace, activities and locations. The fee to take part is $25, and some prizes are being planned.
