L.H. “Bucky” Burruss of Hayes received honorable mention in the Coastal & Chesapeake Bay category of Scenic Virginia’s annual Virginia Vistas Photo Contest, now in its 10th year. More than 500 entries were submitted in this year’s contest. His photograph, titled “Sunrise on Heywood’s Creek,” was taken on Heywood’s Creek, a branch of the Severn River.
