VIRGINIA SUE KEETON KING ALLEN

Virginia Sue Keeton King Allen, “Ginny,” age 62, of Yorktown, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, with her family beside her.

Ginny graduated from Gloucester High School in 1970, and was a member of Union Baptist Church for many years. She was associated with Nick’s Seafood Pavilion for 22 years, Maryview Hospital, Sentara Williamsburg, and Chamberlin Edmonds where she retired in January 2014.

Ginny was a kind, loving person who never met a stranger. Family in addition to her friends would be the first to tell you, she always put others before herself. Flowers, the outdoors, singing, convertibles and babies brought much love to her life.

Husband, Charles Allen; father, Ozro Keeton Jr., and grandparents, Eddie and Susie West, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Lee Ann King; son, Thomas Glen King; their father, Leon King; parents, Ann and Jim Krikales; granddaughter, Jennifer Smith; grandson, Ryan Headrick; great-grandson, Ayden Parker; sisters, Betty Burgess Wynn and husband Ron, Rose Marie Peterson and husband Richard, Donna Aguirre, Jackie Strickland and husband Scott; brother, Nicki Krikales and wife Linda; and other family and friends, and especially her caregiver, Jennifer Hogge.  

A service thanking God for Ginny’s life officiated by the Rev. Bob Robbins and the Rev. Richard Whiteheart was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family received friends from 1-2 o’clock prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
