Virginia State Police promote Hook, Sterling

The Virginia State Police recently promoted two of its members to the VSP executive staff.

Major Keenon C. Hook of Gloucester was named a VSP Deputy Director of the Bureau of Administrative and Support Services. Hook succeeds retiring Major F. Daniel Glick.

Hook has served the VSP since graduating the VSP Academy in 2001 with the 101st Basic Session. Previous to his promotion, he was the commander of the Criminal Justice Information Services division.

At CJIS, Hook oversaw the primary information sharing systems, including the Central Criminal Records Exchange, Sex Offender Registry, Firearms Transactions Center, Automated Fingerprint Identification System, Virginia Criminal Information Network and the Uniform Crime Reporting/Incident Based Reporting program. He was also the Virginia representative to the International Justice and Public Safety Network.
