One-hundred and 73 motorcycles and 75 passengers arrived in Gloucester on Saturday morning to take part in the ninth annual Virginia Legacy Run. Riders principally from the American Legion Riders and Veterans of Foreign War Riders participated to raise funds and awareness for the American Legion’s Veterans and Children’s Foundation. The riders started on Friday at Colonial Beach and stopped for lunch on Saturday at American Legion Post 75 in Gloucester, above. This year’s fundraising goal is $100,000. Each rider pays a fee to participate in the event and there are auctions, memorabilia sales, and other fundraising activities during the ride to increase the amount of the charitable donation....
