VIRGINIA ‘JENNY’ LOUISE POTTER

Virginia “Jenny” Louise Potter of Gloucester, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, after a short illness.

Virginia was born on Aug. 17, 1937 in Mt. Nebo, West Virginia, to the late Guy Vernon Conard and Violet Sebert Conard.

Jenny loved to spend time with all of her friends. One of her favorite hobbies was to go walking with them. When they were not walking, they would often spend their time going out to eat and just having fun.

Jenny was also an avid reader and a lover of animals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Potter; son, Benny Potter; brothers, Bernard Conard, Ottis Conard and Kyle Conard; sisters, Jane Tinney, Beverly Sattler and Lilly “Doodie” Hughes; three fur babies (Bichon Frisé dogs) Dusty, Misty, and Tess.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Solczak and her husband Ed of Dallas, Texas; daughter-in-law, Paula Potter of Leesburg; granddaughters, Lisa Potter of Newport Beach, California, Amy Robinson of Arizona, Nicki Fleck of Dallas, Texas, and grandson, Aaron Schwartz of Chicago, Illinois; and six great-grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
