The Virginia Institute of Marine Science has welcomed 19 new graduate students to its Gloucester Point campus this fall, bringing the overall enrollment at William and Mary’s School of Marine Science at VIMS to 96 students.
New enrollment includes seven doctoral students, 10 students in the Master of Science program and two students in the Professional Master of Arts in Marine Science program. Four students are Virginia residents, 12 are from out-of-state and three are international.
“This is an exciting cohort of students as they are going to infuse VIMS with a breadth of research, professional, and engagement experience,” said John Griffin, VIMS’s Assistant Director for Admissions and Student Affairs. “We are excited to see how they enrich the VIMS community and graduate program, he said.”
