Seafood enthusiasts are invited to join the Virginia Institute of Marine Science’s Marine Advisory Program online via Zoom from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday for the Chef’s Seafood Symposium, an annual educational program for culinary professionals, culinary students and representatives from the seafood industry and related businesses.
Scientists will provide the latest information on seafood science and fisheries issues and participants will receive information and resources to help make more informed seafood choices. Topics include Virginia oyster vari-eties, sea scallops, striped bass, summer flounder, and the effects of COVID-19 on the industry.
