VIMS Marine Science Day

The Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Gloucester Point, was abuzz with activity on Saturday as visitors young and old filled the campus to visit the many booths and exhibits at the 24th annual Marine Science Day. One of the booths at Saturday’s open house was the NOAA Monitor National Marine Sanctuary, with youngsters invited to create coffee filter coral, with Education and Outreach Specialist Kyra Burlingame leading the activity....
