Village Arts Day to be held Saturday

Village Arts Day, the final event in the monthlong Gloucester Arts Festival, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in and around the historic courthouse circle on Main Street. The free all-day event will feature an Artisan Market with two dozen top-quality artisans, craftsmen, and boutique businesses. There will also be opportunities to listen to a variety of musical performances, watch a ballet performance, hear a storyteller, help paint a local community mural, and visit Edge Hill House, the Chrysler Museum’s Mobile Glass Blowing Studio, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ ArtMobile. Shown here at last year’s Village Arts Day are Liam Kennedy and his sister Halle getting artistic help from retired art teachers Janet Griffin and Brenda Turner, from left, in front of Arts on Main.
