Village Arts Day Saturday in Gloucester

Village Arts Day, the final event of the last Gloucester Arts Festival, will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at various sites along Gloucester Main Street. The day begins at 10 a.m. with a guided Sculpture Walk to see the Seward Johnson sculpture installations along Main Street, starting at the courthouse circle. Village Arts Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Main Street Center and will feature a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Artmobile, offering a traveling museum experience, and the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio, with skilled artists transforming molten glass into works of art during live demonstrations. There will be Community Chalk Art, with the public invited to help turn the pavement into a colorful community canvas, and food truck favorites offering lunch and refreshments.
