Village Arts Day

Gloucester Court House was turned into a bohemian art village for the day on Saturday, thanks to the Gloucester Arts Festival, presented by the Cook Foundation. Among the activities taking place was the creation of a community mural. Gloucester Arts on Main board member Rick Griffin and artist Theresa Stewart Hupp created the outline of a summer beach scene, with volunteers coming to fill in the details, including David Collanan and Bella Willett (above). Once finished, the mural will go on display for the public. Below, award-winning storyteller Anthony Burcher regales festival-goers with a tale. The Village Arts Day celebration capped a monthlong celebration of all things art in Gloucester.
