VICTOR W. MOLNAR

Victor W. Molnar, DDS, of McKeesport, Pa., died May 20, 2016 at Southwestern Nursing Care Center.

Born June 24, 1928, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Barillo) Molnar.

Victor was a retired dentist. While maintaining a private practice in McKeesport, he often provided free dental services to McKeesport School District students.   

Victor was a member of the former Transfiguration of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, where he served as a trustee. He was a member of the Sierra Club, Dental Association of Western Pennsylvania, Hungarian Room Committee of Pittsburgh, and served as secretary and treasurer of the Hungarian Social Club of McKeesport.

Victor celebrated his Hungarian heritage. He was tour director of Hungarian Paprika Tours and produced a Hungarian variety music show, heard on WEDO radio. A  U.S. Army captain, Victor served his country in Germany during WWII.

He is survived by brother, Zoltan (Patricia) Molnar of Gloucester, Va.; nephews, Zoltan (Joann), Matthew, Mark (Terri) and Lawrence all of Virginia; great-nieces, Ashley, Lindsay, Camryn, Sydni and Lili; great-nephews, Matthew, Shane and Zoli; great-great-nephew, Koen; great-great-niece, Everly.

Family and friends were received Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. A Blessing service will be celebrated by Father Donald J. Voss on Thursday, 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will take place Friday, May 27, 2016, in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.
