VANANE WILSON

Vanane "Red" Wilson, age 86, of Gloucester, a retired supervisor with the Chesapeake Corporation, died Monday, April 11, 2011.

He was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church.

He was predeceased by his wife, Frances "Bobbie" Wilson, and is survived by a son, Carroll V. Wilson and his wife Linda of Gloucester; a daughter, Brenda W. Griffith and her husband William of Pottstown, Pa.; a sister, Loray W. Haynes of Gloucester; a grandson, James Thomas Wilson and his wife Amanda, and three great-grandchildren, Connor, Declan and Erin Wilson, all of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, at Salem United Methodist Church, Gloucester conducted by the Rev. Rita L. Staul. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
