VAHS chapter to review future of electric-powered flight at monthly luncheon

The Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society will host its monthly luncheon presentation at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, at the Pilot House Restaurant, Topping.
The chapter will present a DVD reviewing the future of electric powered aircraft. The “Great Electric Airplane Race” is a NOVA documentary featuring the variety of recent innovations in electric-powered flight and a glimpse of what’s on the horizon.
The chapter continues to meet on the third Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and a presentation of informative aviation programs at the restaurant, which is adjacent to Hummel Airport.
Everyone interested in aviation is invited to attend. Future planned programs will be announced.
