Va. Homegrown Festival to be held Oct. 8; Reggae Fest this Saturday

Flat Iron Crossroads will host a Virginia Homegrown Festival to “celebrate all things Virginia” on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the music venue on Flat Iron Road in Gloucester. Gates open at noon.

The event will include a day full of Virginia music, vendors, products, food by Gumbeau’s Catering, beverages, exhibits, demonstrations, and fun for the whole family, said a press release.

The music begins at 12:30 p.m. with Kyle Davis, followed by Jackie & Resa, The Tidewinders, Tin Can Fish Band, and headliner Anthony Rosano.

Tickets are $30 and are available at flatironcrossroads.com. Children under age 10 are free.

Flat Iron’s second annual Reggae Fest begins at noon this Saturday, with the bands Cultivated Mind, The AmbassadorZz, United Souls, Nature’s Child, and headliner Mighty Joshua and Zion 5. Food by Gumbeau’s Catering and Carmen’s Authentic Jamaican Cuisine. Tickets are $30 at flatironcrossroads.com.
