Chris’ Cars opened for business recently on Route 17, Hayes.

Owner Chris Trapani of Hayes, offers an assortment of used vehicles in good shape for sale. Trapani said he sells cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles, as well as wheelchair mobility vans that are equipped with special transport lifts.

Trapani purchases the vehicles at auctions and from private sellers. He said he gets a lot of requests for Toyotas and they tend to sell very quickly.
Trapani repairs the vehicles before he sells them. He prides himself on his slogan "Affordable Transportation," and said he makes a donation for a portion of each sale to ASCPA and other organizations to support animal rescue.

He is assisted full-time by Tina Smith of Gloucester, who handles the books and deliveries and will soon test for a state vehicle sales license. Trapani said he’s spent much of his life around vehicles, having been taken shortly after his birth in Newport News to visit the car dealership w...
