Urbanna Holiday Home Tour to be held Dec. 6

The Urbanna 2025 Holiday Home Tour will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at five historic homes and two cultural landmarks in the Town of Urbanna, each adorned for the holidays.

Guests are invited to step inside some of Urbanna’s homes, said a press release, adding that the walking tour of the sites offers “a rare opportunity to explore the town’s architectural gems and rich heritage.”

Buildings on the tour are The Marble House, Atherston Hall, The Johnson Home, The Cove House, The Carter Home, James Mills Scottish Factor Store and Museum, and Lands-downe. The Colonial Singers will entertain those touring from 1-2 p.m. at James Mills.

The tour is Urbanna Main Street’s largest fundraiser of the year, supporting projects that enhance the town’s vitality and visual appeal, said the release. Among the projects it has supported are the Urbanna Mural Project, improvements to wayfinding signage, revitalization and beautification efforts, and the goal of hiring an executive director to expand community impact.

Advance tickets are $40 plus tax, available online at urbannamainstreet.com/events. Tickets the day of the event are $50, cash only, at the Carter Home, 130 Watling Street.

Parking will be at Urbanna Baptist Church on Watling Street, with street parking throughout the town. No public transportation will be provided.
