Urbanna consignment shop to hold grand opening

Lowe Tide, a new business located on Cross Street in Urbanna, will hold its grand opening from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.

Owner Karen Weller Lowe said the grand opening will include wine and cheese, food samples from a green grocer, and live entertainment by Jason Maloney of Middlesex County. Artist Dorothy Fagan of Mathews, whose works are featured at Lowe Tide, will greet guests and explain her newly unveiled Earth, Sky & Water collection.

Lowe opened her shop May 25. The store has 1,800 square feet, filled with various products from consigners such as fine art, aromatherapy, jewelry, pottery, fresh local foods, and apparel for all members of the family.
Previously, Lowe owned a store in Richmond for six years. Also, she was a manager for Talbots women’s store in Richmond for six years and once worked in medical administration and sales in Maryland, West Virginia and Michigan.
