In its June 16 issue, the Gazette-Journal ran an article on the search for Juan G. Ward, a Fairfax County resident with family in the Middlesex/Mathews area who was last seen on May 25.

This week, the Ward family provided an update on the case: “It is with heavy hearts we share that Juan’s car was found, and the family awaits further notification and response from the Fairfax County’s Office of the Medical Examiner.

“In the meantime, a private Celebration of Life service for family and friends will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 30 at Antioch Baptist Church, Saluda,” the statement concluded.
