Under the Stars Farm holds Unbeatable Easter Egg Hunt

Children were scrambling to find Easter eggs at Under the Stars Farm’s Unbeatable Easter Egg Hunt, which was held Saturday at the Gloucester lavender farm.

The event was split into to two time slots with more than 400 total tickets sold. Farm owner C.J. McDonald said she and her mother spent over nine hours preparing more than 4,000 Easter eggs for the kids to find.

Along with the egg hunt, games were set up for the kids including a sack race, egg balance race, bowling and ring toss. McDonald said that she wanted to have an event for kids to help them feel like things were getting back to normal. She said their farm is a place for families and was glad that they could have something for them to do.

The egg hunt was the first youth-centered event Under the Stars Farm held this year. McDonald said the company will unveil its playground, Periwinkle Land, in June. And though spring has just begun, Breakfast with Santa is already scheduled for December.
