Ulysses E. Smith of Williamsburg, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 18, 2019, surrounded by his family.

He was born on Sept. 21, 1962 to the late Flossie Smith-Hayes and Willie Carter Jr. 

Ulysses leaves to cherish his blessed memories his stepfather, Calvert Hayes Sr.; three children, Alexis Patterson, Cory and Jamerico Chapman II; siblings, his twin sister, Joyce Smith, and Carolyn and Calvert Hayes.

A wake will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Forrest Brothers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Newington Baptist Church 6169 Main Street, Gloucester. Burial will be at the cemetery at Rising Valley Baptist Church, James Store.
