The Baystars FC U12 Admirals returned to league soccer play on Saturday with a 3-3 draw against the CSC Phoenix in Chesapeake. Down by two goals in the first half, Admirals’ forward Jayde Beyer struck for an unassisted goal to make it 2-1.

After another Phoenix goal made it 3-1 before the break, Elton Hudgins Garciatello scored off an assist by Maddox Newman to bring the Admirals back within one goal early in the second half.

Later in the half, Beyer struck for his second goal of the match after intercepting a goal kick from the Phoenix keeper. Strong defensive play by Admirals’ keeper Chase Lawson and backs Brennon Sellers, Jonah Marina, C.J. McNeill and Frank Zoll kept Phoenix scoreless in the second half.

The Admirals hit the road again this weekend to take on the AYSO AFC 2009B01 on Saturday and WBSC Swarm on Sunday.
