U11 Hammerheads close out undefeated season

The Baystars U11 Hammerheads closed their undefeated fall season with a commanding 7-0 win over the Beach FC Fuego on Nov. 7 at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex.

Ashton Taylor had a hat trick in the victory and goals came from Aaron Hines, Caden Thompson, Bryce Fischer and Ryder Talbot. Drew West and Taylor anchored the defense.

The final fall season game set for last Saturday was rained out and will not be rescheduled, leaving the Hammerheads the champions for their division.

After a perfect inaugural season in the fall of 2019, the Hammerheads moved to a higher division this fall. Due to COVID-19 restrictions here, the team had to play all away games this season. Despite this, the Hammerheads finished 6-0-1 with 50 cumulative goals. They only allowed eight goals and recorded four shutouts.

The Hammerheads look forward to some indoor winter play and will come back together in the spring to try to continue their winning streak.
