Two ribbon cuttings today, Friday for new businesses in Gloucester

Gloucester Main Street will celebrate the opening of two new businesses with ribbon cuttings this week. York River Jiu-Jitsu, offering classes in this martial art for all ages and skill levels, will have its ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. today, Thursday, July 30, at 6912 Main Street, located in Main Street Center in Gloucester. “It is a great way to get in shape, learn self-defense, and more,” said a press release. Brewed Awakening Café will have a ribbon cutting at 1 p.m. Friday at 6714 Main Street. The new restaurant officially opened for business on July 17, serving breakfast, lunch, pastries, specialty coffee and more. The public is invited to join Gloucester Main Street as it welcomes these new additions to Gloucester’s downtown....
