Two new studios are participating in this year’s Made in Mathews Open Studio Tour—Artisans at Sloop Creek of Port Haywood and photographer Carol Manglos-Foster of Onemo.
The tour opened over Thanksgiving weekend and will continue this coming weekend, with hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Sisters Wendy and Heather Powers have been sewing, quilting, and crafting since they were children in upstate New York. They create a plethora of custom items, including quilts as covers and quilts as wall art, throw pillows, handbags in all shapes and styles, baby bibs, tea towels with amusing images and sayings, potholders, pet Christmas stockings, bandannas, and fabric chew toys, and more.
