The Gloucester and Gloucester Point locations of Tidewater Physical Therapy recently hired two physical therapists. Ryan Eastridge, PT, DPT, will spend most of his time at the Main Street location, while Calla Selfridge, PT, DPT, will spend the majority of her week helping patients at Gloucester Point.

Eastridge, a native of the Northern Virginia area, said he was very involved in sports throughout high school and college, which led to his passion for helping people with injuries. He received his undergraduate degree at Roanoke College and went to Lynchburg College’s physical therapy school. 

Residing in Newport News, Eastridge said he enjoys working with athletes and flied out this past weekend to Phoenix, Ariz., where he attended a certification program for Astym Therapy, a type of soft tissue therapy that addresses the cause of pain, not just the symptoms.
