Two new members elected to NNO board

The Northern Neck Orchestra has elected Susan Kirkbride and Susan Moore to its Board of Directors, according to board chairman Ammon G. Dunton Jr.

“We are pleased to welcome these accomplished individuals to the Board,” Dunton said. “They bring a variety of professional skills, diverse life experience and appreciation of classical music that will benefit the orchestra and our community.”

Kirkbride, a resident of Irvington, grew up in Niantic, Connecticut. She embarked on a Coast Guard life with her husband Greg after she graduated from the University of Connecticut. They got to know the Northern Neck first by visiting family and later as weekend visitors. Kirkbride had a 30-year career as a teacher, most recently teaching middle school science and math at St. Bartholomew’s School in Bethesda, Maryland.
