The Mathews County Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission will hold two public hearings during a joint meeting at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the historic courthouse on Court Street.
William T. and Susan B. Eley have applied for a conditional use permit to operate a temporary reception facility at 929 Williams Wharf Road for small weddings, receptions, family reunions and company meetings.
Leandra S. Doane has requested that the board rezone tax map parcel 12A (1) 13B on Buckschase Road on Gwynn’s Island from business to residential to allow a single-family dwelling at the site. The parcel is currently part of a campground.
After the public hearings, the board of supervisors will adjourn and the planning commission will hold its regular meeting. On the agenda is a presentation by Mark Rinaldi of Bush Construction Corporation on Westville Landing, an age-targeted development that will be located on Buckley Hall Road near Hyco Corner.
