Two hearings on Mathews board agenda

The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will hold two public hearings at 6 p.m. next Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the historic courthouse on Court Street.

One hearing will be for tax relief for the elderly and disabled and the other will be on the general idea of deeding public property to a private entity.

The board will also hear updates on the county’s application for a conditional use permit for broadband towers and on the Hole in the Wall dredging project.
