Two appointed to support positions in Gloucester

Tammie Durant of Gloucester and Linda Zazynski of Ark were appointed to support positions by the Gloucester County School Board during its March 8 meeting. The appointments were effective March 9 and March 14, respectively.

The board also appointed Rebecca Houston of Williamsburg as a GED test examiner, effective April 1. 

In positions paid by stipend, William Moore was appointed as the crew coach at Gloucester High School and Frank Crowley was appointed the assistant coach. John Perrin was appointed as the spring track coach at GHS and Michael Carroll and Stanley Hundley Jr. were appointed as assistants. Perry Morris was named the junior varsity baseball coach. 

The board accepted resignations from support employee Pansy Ottarson, effective March 11, and GHS security officer Robbie Phillips, effective March 10.

In addition, the board approved retirement for Botetourt Elementary principal Bambi Thompson and Abingdon Elementary librarian Jill Tyler, both effective July 1. ...
