Artist Karen Pittman of Mathews transformed an abandoned old school desk into this work of art using acrylic paints and the abstract geometric style of early 20th century Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. It is among the pieces created by 15 artists that are on display through Monday in the “Trash to Treasure” exhibit at the Bay School in Mathews.
