Fire destroyed this mobile home on Beth’s Lane at Hayes Saturday night. According to Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad spokesperson Robert Parlett, there were no injuries from the blaze, which was called in by neighbors around 8 o’clock. The occupants of the mobile home, which include three school-age children, were not there at the time the fire started. The cause of the fire is undetermined. Parlett said 20 volunteers responded along with six firefighters from Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. A fundraising site for the family has been set up at www.gofundme.com/mz6y20.
