Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has been named a Titanium ($3,000) sponsor and E.T. Gresham Company a Diamond sponsor ($2,000) for the 15th annual Gloucester County Public Schools Educational Foundation 8K and 3K run/walk to be held on Saturday, March 14, at Gloucester High School.
A virtual 5K option is available and can be completed between Feb. 27 and March 14.
Janet Crish, strategic accounts manager for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, said the company is proud to be a Titanium sponsor of this year’s event. “We’re honored to stand alongside an organization of business leaders, educators, and community supporters who share a simple belief we also hold—strong communities start with strong schools,” Crish said.
“Our sponsorship helps support the Foundation’s Teacher of the Year program—recognizing exceptional educators from every school in the county and selecting one teacher to represent Gloucester in the statewide competition—as well as the mini-grant program, which equips teachers with resources to launch innovative, student-focused projects,” she added.
“Partnering with the Foundation reflects Anthem’s community initiatives and our broader commitment to community well-being. We work alongside local organizations to expand opportunity, strengthen neighborhoods, and help individuals and families thrive—and this is our way of saying thank you to the Gloucester community and Gloucester County Public Schools,” Crish said.
It was an early morning in January of 2023 when E.T. Gresham Company, a family owned and operated crane/rigging, steel fabrication, and general contracting firm, arrived at GHS, with construction plans in hand. Opened in 1975, the school has seen several upgrades over the years. However, the 261,000-square-foot, three-year renovation of the high school was an ambitious task.
Officially completed this past fall, the renovation significantly enhanced key academic spaces, resource facilities, and common areas, creating an improved and modern environment for both students and faculty.
“Over the past three years of renovating Gloucester High School, E.T. Gresham Company has had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the vital role teachers play in shaping students’ lives. They wear many hats—educator, mentor, coach, friend and support system. Their impact extends far beyond the classroom, and they continue to be invaluable in the community. Sponsoring the Gloucester Foundation Run/Walk is a great way to show our support,” said William Gresham Jr., Vice President of Construction at E.T. Gresham Company.
The March 14 event will raise funds for the 2026 Teacher of the Year Recognition in May 2026 and classroom mini-grants to be awarded in November/December 2026. Mini-grants, which are up to $500 each, cover a wide range of classroom needs addressing advanced technology, arts, reading, special education, and more. These grants can be used over multiple years to enhance the educational experience of Gloucester County students.
