TOGA educational event in Deltaville

The Tidewater Oyster Gardener’s Association will be hold its annual educational event from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday at the Deltaville Maritime Museum.

TOGA’s event will take place during the museum’s Holly Point Market. The museum is located at 287 Jackson Creek Road, Deltaville.

A release said TOGA will provide educational materials and advice for new gardeners and Master Oyster Gardeners will be on hand to address any questions about starting or maintaining oyster gardens. Various pieces of equipment such as bottom cages, Taylor Floats, Tidal Tumblers, Downunders, Flip Floats, and our newest Rough Rider for high velocity water will be on display. Local spat vendors will be selling or taking orders for Triploid and Diploid spat.
